As Albert Einstein once said, “Genius is 1% talent and 99% hard work”. We believe that any child’s skills and qualities can be cultivated with effort and perseverance. For young children, having a growth mindset is a huge advantage as it motivates them to constantly challenge themselves, and more importantly, not be afraid of failure. At Alphabet Playhouse, we provide a safe space for all children to dare to try new things, learn new things, and failure is not something bad. We encourage our children to view failure not as something that defines them, but rather a springboard for growth and the development of their abilities. With the appropriate attitude, anything is possible with our “Growth Mindset” curriculum!
Fixed Mindset: It is embarrasing when I make a mistake. vs Growth Mindset: It is alright to make mistakes as mistakes help me learn and grow!
Fixed Mindset: I am naturally smart so I don't need to try hard to succeed. vs Growth Mindset: No one is born smart. We can all succeed by working hard and not giving up.
Fixed Mindset: I am too shy to speak in front of the class. vs Growth Mindset: I can become more confident if I practice my public speaking.
